For 26 years, Tompkins Square Park in downtown Manhattan has been home to the biggest Halloween Dog Parade in the World. Hundreds of dogs, and their owners, dress up and queue around the block to compete for the coveted Best in Show prize. It's three hours of fun and a chance to fawn all over fancy dressed up pups. And it attracts international media coverage, such as this from Metro in the UK. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon in grey October!
